LIVE FROM MARSHALL, TX
THE RADIO STATION THAT SOUNDS LIKE
EAST TEXAS.
100% Local. 100% Authentic.

ALL ABOARD 92-3 FM THE DEPOT THIS WEEK

As I'm near the end of a career in radio that has spanned more than a half century, it's become increasiingly difficult to talk or write about myself or my personal life. I know most do not care. Rather than spend valuable time telling listeners about how "I woke up with a headache" or "isn't my child cute" or asking you to "vote for me" for whatever award might await me or tell you what I had for dinner, I try to focus on events of interest to the general public; on trying the bridge economic and ethnic chasms in our community; incessantly promoting the resurgence of downtown Marshall or generally helping the region move forward economically and socially. The only reason I'm writing this is to let you know my priorities, within the context of my broadcasting responsibilities, might shift a little. I've recently suffered a stroke which has made it far more difficult for me to get around and might have, understandably, shifted my priorities a bit. How the road ahead bends and twists is certainly unknown. What I do know and promise is that 92-3 The Depot will continue to "Soldier On" as the only true local radio station that always puts you and our community first in everything we do.
